Cherish Kids

This Sunday marks a historic day in my life and in the life of James River.
After three years of prayer and research, on March 22, 2009 we will be officially launching Cherish Kids. Cherish Kids is a foster and adoption initiative that will do three things: Raise Awareness, Provide Resource, and Offer Support. This will be accomplished though four categories: Foster Care, Domestic Adoption, International Adoption, and Support. We are not an agency but will be linking arms with organizations to carry out God's heart for children. " ...You are the defender of orphans ...Lord, You know the hopes of the helpess. Surely you will listen to their cries and comfort them. You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed." Ps. 10:14, 17-18
The picture is me with Debbie Lindell as we review the brochure at a meeting with team leaders. For more info, contact cherishkids@jamesriver.org

Praying...kind of!

Sweet Kelly Grace was joining in on the prayer at a wedding we recently attended...I guess she could tell I was about to take a picture because she peeked right when I snapped it!

Bria's First Love!

Bria has already declared that she is marrying Isaac Porter (son of Eric and Trish who oversee the jr.high ministry at Realife)! We successfully captured this shot of her trying to kiss him at the dinner table...I am not sure he is ready for the relationship yet!

Miss Patti!

I captured this picture when returning from a date with Scotty. What a beautiful sight to see when we came home to know our girls were cared for and nurtured by Miss Patti. Patti is a true blessing to our family!

Haley's Wedding Day!

Here's a shot of three of the girls at Nick and Haley Venturella's wedding day! The girls love dressing up and celebrating all the "frills" and excitement of a wedding...espcially the fun food at the reception!

Allison's Giggle!

Allison's middle name is "Joy" and that is exactly what she is to us all! She has the cutest giggle that we have been trying to capture on video but never seem to get it. However, today we did it! At first she just does a fake laugh or two then by the end she lets out the real one! So cute!
